Position Title: Assembly Technician

Location: Chilliwack, BC

Escape Trailer is looking for manufacturing experienced individuals to join our growing team. This role will require strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment and the ability to work in a team environment. You will be involved in measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing various components to produce a finished Escape trailer that meets quality standards. Electrical, gas, plumbing or carpentry experience is an asset, but not a requirement.  We are looking for positive-minded individuals who are eager to learn.

Escape Trailer is unique, as we are one of the few manufacturers of fiberglass RV travel trailers and have done so for 18+ years and counting. This places us in a high demand market, and we are continuing to grow at a fast pace!  This means that we are constantly striving to learn and improve, while fostering a positive work culture that we can be proud of. We are a customer focused company, and our trailers are manufactured from start to finish at our warehouses located in Chilliwack, BC.  

 

As an Assembly Technician your role includes:

  • Work independently and collaboratively with fellow team members, supervisors, and engineers
  • Attain daily quality and delivery targets through standardized work
  • Work daily with various power tools & hand tools
  • Work independently on assigned projects with time restraints in mind
  • Following company standard requirements on safety and quality protocols

 

Preferred Skills/Requirements

  • Electrical (12V/120V), gas, carpentry or plumbing experience is preferred but not required
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Experience working in manufacturing or construction environments
  • High School Diploma
  • Fluent in English

Position Title: Fiberglass Technician

Escape Trailer is looking for manufacturing experienced individuals to join our growing team.  This role will require strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment and the ability to work in a team environment.  You will be involved in casting, cleaning, prepping and assembling the fiberglass shells used to create our high quality and in demand trailers.  Fiberglass experience is an asset, but not a requirement.  We are looking for positive-minded individuals who are eager to learn.

As a Fiberglass Technician, your role includes:

  • Collaborating with fellow team members, supervisors, and engineers
  • Casting, cleaning, prepping and assembling fiberglass shells
  • Work independently on assigned projects with time restraints in mind
  • Use various tools such as tape measures, polishers, sanders, etc.
  • Working repairs and spraying gelcoat
  • Following company standard requirements on safety and quality protocols
  • Problem solving with the ability to multitask & prioritize work


Preferred Skills/Requirements:

  • Comfortable wearing a respirator for extended periods
  • Experience in production/manufacturing
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Lift up to 50lbs
  • High School Diploma
  • Fluent in English

Position Title: Fabrication Technician

Escape Trailer is looking for experienced individuals to join our growing team.  This role will require strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment and the ability to work as a team.  You will be involved in measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing various components to produce a finished Escape trailer that meets quality standards.  We are looking for positive-minded individuals who are eager to learn.  We are willing to train individuals keen to learn a variety of new skills.  Completion of a diploma or degree in a relevant field is required.

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Installation of cabinets accessories, benches, Kitchen, Wardrobe, and dinette/tables.
  • Plumbing and testing operations, installing fixtures, bathtubs, sinks, taps, drains, and tanks,
  • Operate handheld power tools in a safe and effective manner
  • Ensure production, quality, and safety goals are met or exceeded
  • Capable to learn and lead to achieve hourly/daily/weekly production Targets.
  • Work effectively with other members of the department/plant to achieve production goals


Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Modular building
  • Woodwork or carpentry
  • Cabinet making and/or installation
  • Electrical Installation or repair
  • Appliance Installation and Testing to conform the standards
  • Plumbing jobs; Cutting fiberglass bathtubs, installing fixtures such as taps, sinks, toilets, etc.
  • Fiberglass


Educational Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in a relevant field required
