Position Title: Warehouse Shipper / Receiver

Location: Chilliwack, BC

Escape Trailer is growing rapidly and have an opening for an Inventory Warehouse Receiver. This role is key to their continued growth and operational efficiency.

 

Role and responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have a passion for shipping, receiving and inventory management. As the Warehouse Shipper / Receiver, you are reliable, self-motivated, organized team player. If you’re a hard worker with great managerial skills and superior organization skills, we want to talk to you. Key duties & responsibilities include:
  • Shipping & Receiving of products in the warehouse ensuring accuracy in inventory levels, stock control, and tracking shipments
  • Loading and unloading of trucks, deliveries, and products coming in and leaving the warehouse
  • Tracking the inventory, picking orders
  • Follow company standard requirements on safety and quality protocols
  • Willing to work some weekends and occasional overtime on an as-needed basis
  • Problem solving

Requirements – what you bring to the company:
  • Shipping / Receiving and/or inventory management (2+ years)
  • Order management systems (2 years)
  • Previous experience using a sit-down forklift and ride-on pallet jack is an asset
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lb and able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • High School Diploma
  • Fluent in English

Position Title: Co-op/Intern Engineer

Location: Chilliwack, BC

Escape Trailer Industries is a Chilliwack based RV trailer manufacturing business looking for a Manufacturing Engineer student to join our team. Escape is a well-established company, boasting over 100 people, with a trajectory for continued growth.

Our company is seeking a talented engineer to help us develop new models of fiberglass trailers. This role will support the manufacturing team to achieve business objectives by prototyping, developing, and testing new products, supporting the Engineering team in all aspects of the production line. It is a great opportunity for learning and growing!

Essential duties & requirements include:
  • Supporting all departments to meet their daily/weekly/monthly goals
  • Support the engineering development team on the new trailer model development.
  • Support the shop floor production until the new model becomes ready for the prototype
  • Work closely with the marketing and operational teams, ensuring a successful launch of the product
  • Prepare reports and documentation when required
  • Train Technicians and operators
  • Identify areas of improvements, suggest solutions and summit ideas
  • Designs and coordinates engineering tests and experiments
  • Completes basic tasks on engineering documentation

Position Title: Engineering Technician

Location: Chilliwack, BC

Escape Trailer Industries LP is the fastest-growing and direct-to-consumer travel trailer manufacturer in North America, located in the beautiful Fraser Valley area - Chilliwack, BC. We have been manufacturing trailers for over 18 years, and after a change in management in August 2018 we are in growth mode, now searching for an Engineering Technician to help the company to build a strong team.

Our engineering team is seeking an experienced mechanical engineering technician to assist in prototyping, documenting, and validating new engineered designs for integration into our manufacturing facility. Ideal candidates are hands-on and strong communicators, capable of solving assembly issues and leading plant workers through assembly tasks by example. The position requires an organized self-starter who is capable of balancing shifting priorities and many projects in parallel.


Essential duties & requirements include:
  • Work with engineers and plant assemblers to manage design changes on the manufacturing line
  • Independently construct prototypes to specification and provide constructive feedback to designers.
  • Perform testing and validation of new designs to a predetermined test plan.
  • Iteratively work through assembly and construction of new designs, developing, optimizing and documenting assembly processes.
  • Fiberglass mold preparation and maintenance on prototype trailer models.

Preferred skills & experience:
  • 5+ yrs experience with hand and power tools, particularly wood working and electrical tools. CNC router operation is also an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in use of MS office applications
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices and willingness to lead adoption by example.
  • Ability to interpret engineered drawings drawn to ASME Y14 standard.
  • Comfortable being in an industrial shop setting with inherent safety requirements.
  • Graduated with an Engineering Degree

  • Create and oversee an employee training schedule that emphasizes productivity and resource conservation
  • Evaluate the manufacturing process to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures (both in-house and regulatory) to decrease the potential for employee injuries on the job
  • Assume responsibility for manufacturing processes in the respective area
  • Maintain open lines of communication between employees and management
  • Ensure all resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly
 
Experience:
